Our Commitment to Keeping Patients and Employees Safe
As the situation with COVID-19 evolves, you may be aware that several city, county or state entities have implemented or are in the process of implementing ‘shelter in place’ orders for all non-essential activity. Outpatient rehabilitation in one of the essential healthcare services which plays a critical role in reducing stress on other areas of the healthcare system. Outpatient physical therapy facilities such as All-Pro Physical Therapy are not only permitted to stay open but are encouraged to continue to operate in order to keep our patients healthy, out of emergency rooms and hospital settings that cannot currently handle the capacity.
All-Pro Physical Therapy follows all Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, continually consults with medical authorities and peer organizations around the country and adopts recommended protocols as appropriate. We want to take the opportunity to share more details about the comprehensive measures our clinics have implemented while we remain open.
Every patient will be asked screening questions to determine: (i) if you have symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath; (ii) if you have traveled to countries in the past 14 days that have a level 3 travel warning (per the CDC)* and/or have been on a cruise, or; (iii) if you have had close contact with a person confirmed to have the COVID-19 coronavirus. If the answer is yes to any of the questions, our staff will work to reschedule their appointment. The CDC has also identified certain populations that are higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19. For example, we have special procedures in place for older adults and those with serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease. If patients have any doubts about whether they should attend a scheduled appointment, please call the clinic before arriving for their visit.
Limiting the Number of Visitors
We are limiting the number of people in our locations. Only essential family members or caregivers will be allowed to attend, and they will be confined to our waiting areas. We have suspended all visits from others, including any outside vendors, students, and non-essential staff.
Protecting Patients in the Clinic
More frequent cleaning with CDC-approved cleaning agents is our top priority. We continue to emphasize and commit to the importance of keeping facilities sanitized. Our employees are diligently practicing good hand hygiene and we are continuing to stock our facilities with supplies in order to meet this expectation.
Unlike most facilities, All-Pro Physical Therapy has private patient treatment rooms which enables us to provide another layer of protection by keeping patients separated from other clients.
Continuation of Services
We are here for our referral sources in the changing physician and employer settings. We continue to accept new patients and workmen’s compensation referrals.
Many hospitals have proactively closed outpatient services in order to shift staff and resources to provide inpatient services with focused efforts on an anticipated need for increased surge capacity. If your own hospital systems’ outpatient physical therapy services are closed at this time, we can help by providing continued medical care for your patients as required.
